Since
their formation in 1986, Zendeko has had the privilege to
perform at many renowned events such as the opening of the
J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles Marathon, and the 1994
World Cup Soccer. The troupe also has had the honor of performing
for many distinguished dignitaries including the Emperor
and Empress of Japan, President George Bush, the Dalai Llama,
and Pope John Paul II. |

performances have taken the group all over the nation, from
the San Francisco Bay area, across the Pacific to Honolulu,
and as far east as St. Louis. Internationally, Zendeko has
drummed for audiences in concerts as far north as Canada
and back to the tradition's origins in Japan. |
